Ghillie Russet is a warm, russet-toned plaid with a softly textured wool surface. Cream, charcoal and muted ochre lines intersect across the terracotta-brown ground, giving the swatch a deep, country-inspired character.

About this fabric

The close woven surface has a matte, tactile appearance, while the russet base shifts between earthy red-brown and burnt terracotta across the image. Narrow cream, charcoal and ochre stripes build the checked design, with a vertical pattern repeat of 12 cm and a horizontal repeat of 11.3 cm. Woven from 100% wool and supplied at 147 cm wide, it is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. A 20,000 Martindale rub test supports its use on upholstered pieces; care requires professional dry cleaning, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use the warm russet and muted charcoal lines on a fireside chair, upholstered bench or tailored headboard, pairing it with timber, aged leather and calm cream textiles. Its earthy depth also gives full-length curtains a grounded, softly traditional feel.

The warm russet ground and measured plaid bring a quietly rustic character to upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.
