About this fabric

Woven from 100% wool, this 140 cm (55") fabric has a fine, subtly irregular grain that gives the olive-brown ground gentle tonal depth. The vertical stripe arrangement alternates slim dark and pale lines with occasional muted red and green notes, creating definition without a high-contrast effect. A 20 cm (7.86") horizontal pattern repeat keeps the design practical for matching across curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. The fabric has a 20,000 Martindale rub test; it must be professionally dry cleaned and should not be washed, bleached or ironed.

How to use it

Use this Lovat colourway on a tailored armchair, sofa or relaxed Roman blind where its olive-brown warmth can sit alongside timber, aged leather and natural neutrals. The fine rust-red lines also offer a subtle link to brick, oxblood or warm terracotta accents.

A quietly tailored wool stripe with earthy olive depth and fine rust, cream and charcoal detailing.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
