Islay Lovat is a muted olive-green plaid woven with softly blended khaki tones, cream bands and fine rust-red lines. The even check and gently textured surface give the colourway a calm, country character.

About this fabric

The balanced plaid combines a subdued olive ground with vertical and horizontal cream lines, while narrower rust-red stripes add warmth and definition. Made from 50% Merino Wool and 50% Wool, this 150 cm (58.93") wide fabric has the substantial woven appearance suited to both upholstery and curtains. Its vertical and horizontal pattern repeats are each 12 cm (4.71"), keeping the check clearly legible across a chair, sofa or bedspread. Care instructions are Do Not Wash and Must be dry cleaned professionally; do not bleach or iron.

How to use it

Use the muted olive ground to bring depth to a relaxed reading chair, window seat or tailored headboard, picking up the cream lines with warm neutrals. The rust-red threads can be echoed in leather, timber or small accent cushions without overpowering the check.
