Shetland Plaid Quartz combines a warm taupe ground with intersecting cocoa, muted sage, cream and rust lines. Its softly brushed, matte appearance gives the plaid a quietly collected, country-house character.

About this fabric

This woven wool plaid is centred on a weathered taupe tone, overlaid with broad cocoa-brown and dusky rose bands, fine sage-green and olive lines, and occasional cream and rust accents. The close-set vertical and horizontal stripes create a medium-scale check with visible tonal depth rather than a sharp, high-contrast grid. Made from 100% wool and 150 cm wide, it has a 35 cm vertical pattern repeat and a 29.5 cm horizontal repeat. With a 24,000 Martindale rub test, it is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads.

How to use it

Use Quartz on a relaxed armchair, headboard or loose cover where its warm taupe base can sit alongside natural wood and linen. Echo the muted sage or rust pinstripes in cushions and trims for a layered scheme without losing the plaid’s understated feel.
