Morning Gallop Velvet in Grey/Sand pairs a pale, warm grey-sand ground with lively painted scenes of riders and galloping horses. Creamy brushstrokes, brown horses and muted ochre landscape details give the repeat a softly weathered, painterly character.

About this fabric

This Mulberry Home Festival velvet is made from 88% cotton and 12% polyester, with a substantial 50,000 Martindale rub test for practical upholstery use. The visible design layers equestrian figures, horses and low, earthy landscape forms across the light stone-grey ground, with touches of rust, olive, cream and tobacco brown. Its 49 cm vertical repeat and 67 cm horizontal repeat create a clearly readable medium-scale scene on the 134 cm-wide cloth. It is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; professional dry cleaning is required, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use the cool grey-sand ground on a sofa, headboard or relaxed armchair, then pick up the motif’s tobacco brown, muted ochre and rust accents in plain cushions or timber furniture. As curtains, it can soften a neutral room while retaining the tailored energy of the horse-and-rider scenes.
