Morning Gallop Linen Grey/Sand depicts repeated riders and galloping horses across a pale, linen-grey ground, with sandy ochre, brown and muted olive details. The painterly landscape bands give the colourway a cool, weathered character rather than a bright country palette.

About this fabric

Woven from 100% linen, this 142 cm-wide fabric combines a soft grey background with layered sand, ochre, brown and subdued green tones in the equestrian scene. Riders, horses and loosely painted landscape fragments move across the cloth in a 47 cm vertical repeat and 71 cm horizontal repeat, creating a medium-scale pattern with visible variation between the bands. The specification lists it for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. It must not be washed or bleached, ironed, and requires professional dry cleaning.

How to use it

Use the cool linen-grey ground on a window seat, occasional chair or full-length curtains, then pick up the sandy browns with natural wood, warm stone and softly aged leather. Its muted contrast also makes it effective on a bedspread without overwhelming a restful neutral bedroom.
