About this fabric

The swatch shows a fine vertical stripe with alternating teal, indigo, muted olive and light neutral lines, creating depth without a large-scale motif. Woven from 53% cotton and 47% jute, it has a visibly textured, substantial surface suited to both decorative and practical applications. The fabric is 137 cm (53.82 inches) wide and has a 45 cm (17.68 inches) horizontal pattern repeat. It is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; care instructions specify professional dry cleaning only, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use the cool teal and indigo ground to give a chair, headboard or sofa a crisp, tailored presence, pairing it with warm timber and quiet neutral upholstery. As curtains, the narrow vertical striping can add a measured sense of height while the olive and cream threads soften the blue depth.

A cool, closely striped woven textile that brings tailored colour and texture to upholstery or curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Tapton Stripe Teal/Indigo without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
