Shetland Plaid Teal combines a cool, softened teal ground with layered olive, ochre and rust lines in a finely woven plaid. The restrained colours give the tartan pattern a weathered, quietly tailored character.

About this fabric

This 100% wool fabric has a muted teal base crossed by narrow rust-red, ochre and olive-grey lines, creating a medium-scale plaid with subtle tonal depth. The woven surface reads as softly textured rather than glossy, while the darker vertical and horizontal bands give the design a clear architectural rhythm. At 150 cm wide, with a 35 cm vertical repeat and 29.5 cm horizontal repeat, it is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. A 24,000 Martindale rub test supports its use on upholstered pieces, subject to the specified professional dry-clean-only care instructions.

How to use it

Use the cool teal ground to temper warm timber and leather, or pair it with chalky neutrals and aged brass so the rust and ochre lines bring measured warmth. Its tailored check works especially well on a reading chair, bench cushion, relaxed curtain or upholstered bedhead.
