Festival FabricFD731.H51

Dalton Stripe Indigo/Ochre combines deep indigo with ochre, taupe and charcoal-toned vertical bands. Fine zigzag accents and the visible slub of the jute give the stripe a tactile, crafted character.

About this fabric

The design is built from closely spaced vertical stripes, alternating solid indigo and ochre lines with narrow geometric, zigzag-edged bands. Its blue reads cool and inky, while the ochre threads add a restrained, earthy warmth rather than a bright golden flash. Woven from 60% cotton and 40% jute, the cloth has a subtly irregular, natural texture visible across the surface. At 137 cm wide with a 23 cm horizontal pattern repeat, it is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads.

How to use it

Pair the indigo ground with warm timber, aged brass and taupe upholstery for a balanced room scheme. The ochre striping can be picked up in cushions or lampshades without overpowering the fabric’s cooler blue depth.

Use the cool indigo and earthy ochre contrast to bring tailored colour and woven texture to upholstery, curtains or bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
