Botanica Velvet Red/Plum

Botanica Velvet Red/Plum combines a warm, aged-beige ground with dense flowers in rust red, plum, ochre, faded blue and olive. The closely arranged floral composition has the depth and painterly variation of a traditional botanical textile, while the velvet surface gives the design a soft, substantial presence.

About this fabric

Woven from 49% cotton, 46% viscose and 5% polyester, this 137 cm-wide velvet has a large floral repeat measuring 58 cm vertically by 68.5 cm horizontally. Rust and wine-red blooms sit beside cool blue flowers and small ochre blossoms, with dark brown leaves and muted olive foliage creating definition against the beige background. With a 50,000 Martindale rub test, it is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. It must not be washed, bleached or ironed, and should be professionally dry cleaned.

How to use it

Use this Red/Plum colourway to deepen a neutral country room with warm rust and wine tones, or echo its faded blue and olive accents in cushions, painted furniture and trim. On a chair or sofa, the large repeat makes the floral arrangement a strong focal point; full-length curtains will reveal more of its varied botanical composition.
