About this fabric

Woven from 100% linen, this 141 cm-wide fabric has a matte, natural-looking ground beneath its detailed repeat of hounds, grasses and loose meadow foliage. The colourway is grounded in soft olive and khaki, with cream dogs, ochre highlights and deep brown markings adding gentle contrast rather than sharp saturation. The vertical pattern repeat is 30 cm and the horizontal repeat is 94 cm, giving the pastoral scene a considered rhythm across the cloth. It is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads, with professional dry cleaning required.

How to use it

Use the olive and ochre tones to soften a relaxed country sitting room, either as loose upholstery on a chair or sofa, or as full curtains that let the painterly meadow scene read across the width. Cream linen, aged timber and warm brown leather will echo the hounds’ markings without competing with the pattern.

A softly painterly country scene that brings muted olive, cream, ochre and brown tones to curtains, upholstery or bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
