Highland Check Woodsmoke combines deep smoky brown squares with softer taupe-brown ground tones in a softly brushed velvet surface. The blurred edges and tonal variation give the check a gently weathered, tactile appearance.

About this fabric

This Mulberry Home velvet is made from 55% viscose and 45% cotton, with a 140 cm width and a 50,000 Martindale rub test. Its medium-scale check has a vertical repeat of 18 cm and a horizontal repeat of 17.5 cm. In this colourway, espresso-brown blocks sit against warm greyed taupe, while the nap catches the light unevenly across the surface. It is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads.

How to use it

Pair the woodsmoke brown and taupe tones with warm timber, aged leather and oatmeal textiles for a grounded country scheme. The substantial velvet texture also works well on an occasional chair, upholstered headboard or full-length curtain.

Use this smoky brown checked velvet to bring depth and soft texture to upholstery, curtains or bedspreads.
