Inveraray Woodsmoke

Mulberry Wools V FabricFD837.A15

Inveraray Woodsmoke combines a soot-softened brown ground with muted rust shading and narrow taupe lines. Its woven horizontal stripe has a dry, tactile appearance, with the contrasting threads giving the surface gentle variation rather than a flat block of colour.

About this fabric

The stripe is built from closely spaced horizontal bands, including fine pale taupe lines, darker brown channels and broken rust-toned motifs that catch the light across the weave. The overall effect is cool and smoky, while the subdued copper colouring adds measured warmth without making the fabric feel bright. Woven from 100% wool, it is supplied at 150 cm wide and has a 16 cm vertical pattern repeat with a 9.5 cm horizontal repeat. It is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; professional dry cleaning is required, and it must not be washed, bleached or ironed.

How to use it

Use this Woodsmoke colourway on a tailored chair, sofa or upholstered headboard where its brown-grey depth can anchor a room. The restrained rust bands work well with aged wood, tobacco leather and quiet taupe or stone textiles.

A structured wool stripe bringing smoky brown depth and restrained rust warmth to upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
