About this fabric

The design combines broad brown and charcoal checks with narrower blue-grey and taupe lines, creating a measured plaid with visible woven texture. Made from 100% wool, it is supplied at 150 cm wide and has a 31 cm vertical repeat with a 25 cm horizontal repeat. The 20,000 Martindale rub test supports its use for fixed and loose upholstery, while the supplied applications also include curtains and bedspreads. It must not be washed, bleached or ironed, and requires professional dry cleaning.

How to use it

Use the smoky brown ground to anchor a reading chair, sofa or upholstered headboard, then echo the blue-grey lines with cooler plain cushions or painted joinery. As curtains or a bedspread, the muted plaid brings pattern without brightening the room.

A substantial wool plaid in smoky brown, charcoal, taupe and blue-grey, equally suited to tailored upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
