Walton Shingle has a quiet, finely checked appearance, with pale warm lines crossing a cool grey-taupe ground. Its lightly flecked wool texture softens the geometry and gives the colourway a gently weathered depth.

About this fabric

Woven from 50% Merino Wool and 50% Wool, this 150 cm wide fabric combines a muted grey base with slender cream-taupe lines forming an even check. The 10 cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeats keep the scale noticeable without making the design feel dominant. Walton Shingle is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads, making this subdued colourway particularly versatile across a room. It must be professionally dry cleaned and should not be washed, bleached or ironed.

How to use it

Use the cool grey-taupe ground to temper warm timber, painted cabinetry or natural linen, with the fine check bringing structure to relaxed upholstery. It also works as a softly tailored curtain or bedspread where its pale lines can catch the light without becoming bright.
