Lomond Velvet Sage

Lomond Velvet Sage combines a muted sage-olive ground with layered paisleys, medallions and decorative bands in sepia brown, cream and charcoal. Its densely ornamented surface has an antique textile character, while the velvet construction gives the colour depth as the light moves across it.

About this fabric

This Mulberry Home velvet has a 45% cotton and 55% viscose composition, a 137 cm width and a substantial 40,000 Martindale rub test. The large-scale design brings together sweeping paisleys, small circular motifs, elongated central ornaments and horizontal bands, all worked in softly contrasting earthy tones. Sage and olive remain visible through the design, tempered by tobacco brown, warm taupe, charcoal and pale cream detailing rather than reading as a bright green. With a 112 cm vertical repeat and 68.5 cm horizontal repeat, the pattern has a strong architectural rhythm across larger lengths.

How to use it

Use this cool, subdued sage-olive colourway to upholster a feature chair, sofa or headboard against warm plaster, walnut or aged brass. It can also bring a richly patterned layer to curtains or bedspreads, where the brown and cream details will connect with neutral furnishings.
