Floral Rococo Red/Plum combines a warm cream-beige ground with layered bouquets in muted red, plum, coral, ochre and dusty lilac. Curving taupe scrolls weave between the florals, giving the surface a richly ornamental, antique-inspired character.

About this fabric

Made from 100% cotton, this 137 cm wide fabric is covered with large floral bouquets, curling Rococo foliage and scrolling arabesques. The red and plum flowers have a softened, painterly depth rather than a bright, primary saturation, while ochre and green accents add warmth against the pale ground. Its 73 cm vertical pattern repeat and 68.5 cm horizontal repeat create a substantial design scale that will read clearly across a larger upholstered or curtained surface. The specification allows for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; it must be dry cleaned professionally and must not be washed, bleached or ironed.

How to use it

Use this colourway to bring layered traditional colour to a reading chair, sofa or full-length curtain, balancing its red-plum bouquets with warm beige upholstery and aged wood. The pale ground keeps the ornate pattern from feeling too dark while the muted florals add depth.
