Somerton Stripe Red/Green

Mulberry Small Prints FabricFD2013.V90

Somerton Stripe Red/Green presents closely spaced vertical lines across a warm beige ground, with muted terracotta-red and soft green-grey tones visible in the weave. The narrow striping gives this colourway a calm, tailored rhythm rather than a bold graphic effect.

About this fabric

Made from 82% viscose and 18% linen, this 137 cm-wide fabric combines a lightly natural-looking ground with fine vertical stripes in softened red and subdued green. The 3.7 cm horizontal pattern repeat keeps the design delicate and evenly paced, while the warm beige background gives the colourway gentle depth. It is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. For care, do not wash, bleach or iron; the fabric must be dry cleaned professionally.

How to use it

Use the warm red and beige tones to bring quiet richness to a sitting-room chair or tailored roman blind, then pick up the restrained green-grey stripes with sage or olive accents. Its fine scale also works neatly across bedspreads and coordinated upholstery without overwhelming the room.

A refined fine stripe with warm red and subdued green tones, suitable for coordinated curtains, upholstery and bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
