Babington Check Indigo shows a compact woven check in deep, cool indigo, softened by warm beige, cream and muted grey threads. The closely spaced pattern gives the swatch a neat, quietly tailored appearance.

About this fabric

The small check combines dark indigo lines with cream, beige and soft grey intersections, creating depth without a large-scale visual statement. Its finely woven surface reads as structured and matte, while the warm neutral threads temper the cooler blue ground. Made from 40% viscose, 33% cotton and 27% linen, the fabric is 140 cm (55") wide and has vertical and horizontal pattern repeats of 5 cm and 3.5 cm. With a 45,000 Martindale rub test, it is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; it must be professionally dry cleaned and should not be washed, bleached or ironed.

How to use it

Use the cool indigo check on a tailored armchair, dining seat or loose cover, balancing it with warm oak, cream upholstery and natural linen. Its small repeat also works neatly across curtains or a bedspread without overwhelming a room.
