Berber Stripe Denim

Mulberry Stripes II FabricFD792.G34

Berber Stripe Denim combines a deep, cool denim-blue ground with closely arranged vertical stripes. Rust-toned chevron bands bring a warm, graphic accent, while fine tan lines add definition across the woven surface.

About this fabric

Woven from 68% cotton and 32% jute, this 134 cm-wide fabric has a tactile, subtly irregular face that gives the denim tone depth rather than a flat blue appearance. The vertical layout alternates narrow tan and rust lines with darker patterned bands, including repeated chevron-like details that create a measured tribal feel. A horizontal pattern repeat of 22.5 cm makes the stripe arrangement practical to position across curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. The fabric has a 6,000 Wyzenbeek Cotton Duck rub test; care is professional dry cleaning only, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use the cool denim-blue ground to anchor a relaxed study, bedroom or sitting room, then pick up the rust detailing with leather, timber or terracotta accents. Its vertical stripes suit tailored curtains and bring clear rhythm to an upholstered chair, bench or headboard.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Berber Stripe Denim without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
