Cowdray Stripe Plum
Mulberry Stripes II FabricFD790.H113
Cowdray Stripe Plum combines deep plum-burgundy vertical bands with a warm tan ground, creating a quietly graphic stripe with earthy depth. The woven surface gives the colourway a tactile, softly irregular character rather than a flat printed appearance.

About this fabric
The design alternates broad plum stripes containing fine diamond geometry with narrower plain lines, all set against warm natural tan. Its 30% jute and 70% cotton composition is visible in the subtly textured, organic-looking weave. Supplied at 130 cm wide, the fabric has a 10 cm horizontal pattern repeat and is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. Care instructions specify professional dry cleaning only; it must not be washed, bleached or ironed.
How to use it
Use the muted plum as a grounded accent on a buttoned chair, headboard or loose cover, then repeat the warm tan in plain upholstery or curtain lining. The restrained geometric stripe also suits full-length curtains where its vertical rhythm can read clearly.
Use the muted plum and warm tan stripes to bring tailored colour and tactile woven character to upholstery, curtains or bedspreads.

Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Cowdray Stripe Plum without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
