Racing Stripe Plum

Racing Stripe Plum combines muted plum, russet, ochre and soft cream in tightly spaced vertical bands. Fine zigzag and geometric details sit between the stripes, giving the surface a richly woven, quietly graphic character.

About this fabric

Woven from 68% cotton and 32% jute, this 134 cm wide fabric has a tactile, natural-looking handle visible in the close-set stripe construction. The plum is deep but softened rather than highly saturated, while ochre and russet accents add warmth against the lighter cream lines. Small chevron-like motifs and narrow contrasting bands create detail without overwhelming the vertical rhythm. A 33.5 cm horizontal pattern repeat supports its use for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads.

How to use it

Use the warm plum ground on a tailored chair, ottoman or headboard, then echo its ochre and russet threads in cushions or painted woodwork. Its vertical striping also gives curtains a structured, architectural finish while retaining the tactile character of the jute blend.
