About this fabric

This heavy textile weighs 579 gsm and has a dense construction of 118 threads per centimetre, making it particularly well suited to upholstery applications. In the swatch, irregular narrow striations run vertically across the surface, creating a softly broken texture that catches the light without becoming glossy. The 48.5 cm vertical repeat and 31.5 cm horizontal repeat describe the pattern placement, while the 126 cm usable width supports practical cutting on larger upholstered forms. Its cool marine tone is softened by blue-grey and muted teal variation, giving furniture a tailored but atmospheric finish.

How to use it

Use Niello Marine on a statement armchair, sofa or headboard where its deep blue-teal tone can anchor pale stone, chalk, brushed metal or warm timber finishes. The fine vertical texture also brings quiet height and rhythm to clean-lined upholstery without introducing a loud motif.
