Sial Graphite/ Oyster

Momentum 11 Fabrics FabricHAF0369-01

Sial Graphite/Oyster has a cool, mineral character, combining deep graphite with broken oyster markings in a strongly vertical, weathered design. Fine irregular streaks and flecks create a layered surface rather than a flat block of colour.

About this fabric

This substantial 767gsm fabric is suited to upholstery, with a usable width of 137cm for practical cutting. Its graphite ground is interrupted by oyster-grey strokes that vary from slender lines to distressed, textural patches, giving the colourway a softly eroded appearance. The design has a 38cm vertical repeat and a 34.2cm horizontal repeat, so the directional pattern will remain a clear feature across upholstered panels. With 104 threads per cm, the close construction adds visual density to the already weighty cloth.

How to use it

Pair Sial Graphite/Oyster with pale stone, chalky timber and brushed metal for a cool, contemporary scheme, or use it to temper warmer walnut and tan leather. Its vertical striations are particularly effective on occasional chairs, headboards and tailored sofa cushions.

Use this weighty graphite-and-oyster textile on statement upholstery where its weathered vertical texture can provide depth against quieter surfaces.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Sial Graphite/ Oyster without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
