Tectrix Jet is a near-black woven textile with a softly variegated surface, where fine angular marks emerge quietly from the charcoal ground. Its dense, low-contrast appearance gives the colourway a deep, composed presence.

About this fabric

The 430gsm cloth has a substantial woven handle suited to upholstery, while the 90 threads per cm construction gives the surface a closely worked appearance. Against the deep charcoal-black base, faint intersecting and angular lines create texture without introducing a strong contrasting motif. The pattern repeats every 5.3cm vertically and 11.3cm horizontally, keeping the design discreet across upholstered surfaces. At 135cm usable width and a standard 30m length, it is practical for coordinated seating projects.

How to use it

Use Tectrix Jet on a tailored sofa, dining chair or ottoman where its cool charcoal tone can anchor pale stone, brushed metal and smoked timber. The almost-black colour also works well as a quiet contrast to richer leather or softly coloured cushions.

The deep charcoal ground and restrained woven texture suit tailored sofas, dining chairs and contemporary occasional seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
