Momentum 11 Fabrics FabricHAF0369-05

Sial Oyster/Ink combines a chalky oyster ground with dense ink-blue and charcoal vertical markings. Its distressed, painterly striations create a tactile surface with strong but irregular directional movement.

About this fabric

The colourway is cool and quietly contrasted, with pale oyster threads and areas of warm off-white showing through deep ink, navy and charcoal tones. The broken vertical motif has a weathered, mineral-like appearance rather than a neat stripe, while the textured surface catches the light unevenly across the mark-making. At 767 gsm and 104 threads per cm, this is a substantial textile well suited to upholstery. It has a 137 cm usable width, with a 38 cm vertical repeat and 34.2 cm horizontal repeat to consider when matching the pattern.

How to use it

Use Sial Oyster/Ink on a sofa, armchair or headboard where its dark blue-grey depth can anchor a room without losing the brightness of the oyster ground. Pair it with chalk, stone and soft grey upholstery accents, or pick out the ink tones with dark timber and aged metal.

Use this substantial oyster-and-ink textile to bring controlled contrast and vertical movement to upholstered seating, headboards or occasional chairs.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
