About this fabric

The design is formed from broken vertical striations, with saturated teal and darker ink passages cutting through sandy beige and taupe threads. Subtle shifts between lighter and darker yarns give the surface a distressed, painterly rhythm rather than a uniform stripe. At 767 gsm and 104 threads per cm, this is a substantial woven fabric with the visual depth and handle suited to upholstery. It has a 137 cm usable width, with a 38 cm vertical repeat and 34.2 cm horizontal repeat.

How to use it

Use Marine/ Ink on a tailored armchair, ottoman or sofa where its cool teal-and-ink depth can anchor warmer timber, tan leather and sand-coloured walls. The vertical movement also works well on compact upholstered forms, where the contrasting marks remain clearly visible.

A substantial, textural teal-and-ink woven for upholstered seating and statement occasional pieces.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
