Somerset Check Sand combines a creamy background with warm sand and pale beige woven blocks. Fine horizontal striping gives the check a softly irregular, tactile character rather than a rigid grid.

About this fabric

Part of Mulberry Home’s Bruton Weaves collection, this 138 cm (54.21") fabric is woven from 37% wool, 18% viscose, 15% acrylic, 14% cotton, 7% polyamide, 6% linen and 3% polyester. Its check repeats vertically at 31 cm (12.18") and horizontally at 34.5 cm (13.55"), creating a medium-scale pattern of striped rectangles with gently uneven edges. The Sand colourway reads warm and muted, with the beige-and-cream ground allowing the slightly deeper camel tones to show clearly across the weave. It is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; care is professional dry cleaning only, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use this warm sand check on a relaxed armchair, tailored headboard or full-length curtains, pairing it with chalky creams, oat tones and natural timber. Its restrained contrast also works well as a connecting textile across upholstery and bedspreads.
