Bruton Check Teal

Bruton Check Teal combines a cool, muted teal with narrow bands of oatmeal, taupe, soft coral and charcoal. The closely scaled check has a tactile, finely woven appearance, with the varied colours giving the surface gentle depth rather than a flat block of teal.

About this fabric

This tightly woven small check is built from interlocking horizontal and vertical lines, creating a subtly pixelated pattern across the swatch. Its 21 cm vertical repeat and 22.5 cm horizontal repeat keep the design orderly while allowing the muted teal, sandy neutrals and restrained coral accents to shift in emphasis across the cloth. The composition is 38% wool, 24% viscose, 15% cotton, 8% nylon, 7% linen, 7% polyester and 1% acrylic, and the 135 cm width is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. A 31,000 Martindale rub test supports its use on upholstered furniture as well as softer furnishing applications.

How to use it

Pair the cool teal ground with warm ivory, weathered oak and rust-toned accents to draw out the check’s muted coral threads. It also works well against charcoal or deep blue when a quieter, more layered scheme is wanted.

Use the cool teal check to bring layered colour and subtle woven texture to upholstery, curtains or bedspreads.
