Bruton Check Green

Bruton Weaves FabricFD854.S101

Bruton Check Green is a finely woven, small-scale check combining softened sage green with warm beige, cream and subtle dusky brown threads. The close grid reads quietly textured rather than bold, with the pale tones catching the light across the surface.

About this fabric

The pattern is formed from tightly spaced horizontal and vertical bands, creating a neat, understated check with a gently irregular woven character. Its green is muted towards sage-grey, balanced by oatmeal beige and cream, so the colourway feels calm and softly layered rather than saturated. At 135 cm (53.04 inches) wide, it is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. The blended construction comprises 8% Nylon, 38% Wool, 24% Viscose, 15% Cotton, 7% Linen, 7% Polyester and 1% Acrylic, with a 31,000 Martindale rub test for practical upholstery use.

How to use it

Use the sage-green check on a tailored armchair, window seat or upholstered headboard, then draw out its warm beige and cream notes with oat linen, pale timber and soft neutral walls. Its fine scale also makes it suitable for curtains or a bedspread where a quiet woven pattern is wanted.

Pair the muted sage check with warm oat, cream and natural wood for a quietly tailored scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
