About this fabric

This Sanderson velvet has a substantial 405gsm handle and a usable width of 148cm, making it well suited to upholstery work. With no pattern repeat to match, the plain surface keeps the focus on the fabric’s tonal depth and the way the pile catches the light. In this colourway, the green reads as restrained and earthy rather than bright, with a subtle grey cast that softens the overall effect. The dense 102 threads per cm construction helps explain the smooth, compact look visible in the swatch.

How to use it

Use Dorton Sage on a tailored armchair, ottoman, or banquette where its muted green can add depth without overpowering the room. It works especially well with warm woods, brass details, and chalky neutrals.
