About this fabric

This Sanderson velvet is specified at 405 gsm, so it has the substance and drape expected of a substantial upholstery cloth. The usable width is 148 cm, with a standard length of 40 m, and there is no pattern repeat to work around. Visually, the colour sits between sapphire and peacock blue, with a slightly green undertone that reads cooler in shade and brighter where the pile lifts. The dense 102 threads per cm help the face look finely packed and refined, while the velvet finish adds a soft, low sheen.

How to use it

Use this shade on a tailored armchair, ottoman or bench where its deep blue-green tone can sit against walnut, brass or pale stone. It also works well in rooms that need a stronger colour anchor without the brightness of a pure cobalt.
