About this fabric

The cool blue-teal background has a softly faded, textile-like appearance, overlaid with delicate tonal scrolls and paisley-shaped tracery. Hand-drawn babouche slippers are arranged across the design, with individual shoes picked out in warm ochre, dusty coral, cream, olive and pale green. This wallpaper is made from 100% non-woven material and measures 70 cm (27.5") wide, with a substantial 90 cm (35.36") vertical pattern repeat. It is spongeable for practical care.

How to use it

Use Babouches Teal to bring a cool, quietly dramatic note to a dressing room, bedroom or dressing area, where the warm shoe illustrations can be echoed with ochre, tan and aged brass accents. Its large repeat is particularly effective across a feature wall, allowing the varied slipper designs to read as a collected decorative display.

A muted blue-teal ground lets the warm, illustrated babouche motifs create a richly collected wall finish.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Babouches Teal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
