Monroe Blue is a close, textured weave in a cool blue-grey shade, visibly broken up with fine vertical striations and pale flecks. Its softly mottled surface gives the colour a calm, weathered depth rather than a flat blue appearance.

About this fabric

The tightly woven face combines blue-grey, taupe-grey and lighter threads in an irregular vertical texture that catches the light subtly across the swatch. Woven from 7% cotton, 57% viscose, 18% polyester and 18% linen, it is supplied at 140 cm (55") wide. With a 20,000 Martindale rub test, Monroe Blue is listed for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. Care is professional dry cleaning only; do not wash, bleach or iron.

How to use it

Use Monroe Blue on a relaxed sofa, occasional chair or upholstered headboard where its cool blue-grey tone can soften warmer timber and neutral walls. It also brings understated colour to full-length curtains or a bedspread without introducing a strong pattern.
