Croft Ochre

Mulberry Croft Weaves FabricFD851.T111

Croft Ochre combines a sun-warmed ochre ground with fine taupe, grey and brown yarns, creating a softly varied textile surface. Its closely woven horizontal bands and diagonal flecks give the swatch a tactile, quietly rustic character.

About this fabric

This 140 cm (55") wide fabric blends 39% viscose, 23% cotton, 20% linen, 14% polyester and 4% wool. The colour reads as muted ochre rather than bright yellow, with sandy beige depth and cooler grey-brown threads breaking up the warmth. Short diagonal yarn movements form a subtle herringbone-like texture within horizontal bands, while the 26 cm (10.21") vertical repeat and 1.4 cm (.55") horizontal repeat add gentle structure. Rated to 25,000 Martindale rubs, it is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads.

How to use it

Use Croft Ochre to bring mellow, earthy warmth to a relaxed sitting room, especially alongside natural timber, chalky neutrals and aged leather. Its softly flecked weave also works well on a bench, headboard or full-length curtains where the changing ochre and taupe threads can catch the light.

A warm, softly rustic woven with enough structure for upholstery and enough versatility for curtains and bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
