Seaton Blue

Mulberry Croft Weaves FabricFD852.H101

Seaton Blue is a finely woven textile with a cool, muted blue-grey ground, threaded with cream, taupe and charcoal flecks. Its close horizontal construction gives the surface a softly irregular, almost granular rhythm rather than a bold printed pattern.

About this fabric

Made from 52% viscose, 18% cotton, 17% linen and 13% polyester, this 140 cm fabric has a tactile woven character and a subtle variation in tone across the surface. The blue reads softened and slightly smoky, with pale threads lifting the weave and darker flecks adding definition without making it busy. With a 35,000 Martindale rub test, it is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. It must be dry cleaned professionally and should not be washed, bleached or ironed.

How to use it

Use Seaton Blue on a tailored armchair, sofa or headboard where its cool blue-grey tone can sit comfortably with chalky neutrals, weathered timber and charcoal accents. As curtains or a bedspread, the fine flecked weave adds quiet texture without overpowering the room.

A finely textured blue-grey weave with enough visual depth for upholstery while remaining suitable for curtains and bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
