Monroe Emerald

Mulberry Croft Weaves FabricFD853.S16

Monroe Emerald appears as a warm, muted taupe weave with a softly irregular surface. Fine tonal yarn variation gives the plain cloth a subtle linen-like character rather than a flat, uniform finish.

About this fabric

The photographed colourway reads as brown-tinged taupe, with a gentle depth that shifts slightly across the close-woven surface. Small irregular slubs and faint vertical yarn movement are visible throughout, while the overall effect remains calm and understated. Made from 57% viscose, 18% polyester, 18% linen and 7% cotton, it is 140 cm wide and suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. The 20,000 Martindale rub test supports upholstery use; care is professional dry cleaning only, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use this warm taupe shade to soften a relaxed sitting room, pairing its fine woven texture with ivory, natural timber and deeper brown accents. It also works as a quiet upholstery or curtain backdrop where the subtle slub can be appreciated up close.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
