Monroe Ochre has a warm, earthy ochre tone with a softly mottled surface that shifts between golden brown and lighter flax-like flecks. Its close-up texture reveals fine vertical slubs and an understated woven irregularity rather than a printed motif.

About this fabric

Woven from 57% viscose, 18% polyester, 18% linen and 7% cotton, Monroe Ochre has a gently tactile handle and a nuanced, yarn-dyed appearance. The warm ochre ground is softened by pale threads running through the weave, giving the colour depth without making it feel bright or saturated. At 140 cm wide, it is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. The fabric has a 20,000 Martindale rub test; care is professional dry cleaning only, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use Monroe Ochre on a relaxed armchair, loose cover or upholstered headboard to bring a mellow golden-brown warmth into the room. It can also make softly textured curtains or a bedspread where the fine vertical weave will read gently in changing light.
