About this fabric

This colourway sits in a dark petrol blue range, with teal undertones that give the surface extra depth in changing light. As part of the Modena collection by J Brown, it is a plain design with 92 colourways and is made from 100% polyester. Its 80,000 Martindale rub test and contract usage make it well suited to heavy-use seating, while the back-coated fire performance to Cigarette & Match to BS5852 adds practical reassurance. The fabric’s fine, softly granular texture keeps the finish from looking flat, so the colour feels layered and quietly luxurious rather than stark.

How to use it

Use it on tailored sofas, banquettes or dining chairs where the deep petrol tone can anchor paler walls and timber. It also works well with brass, walnut and warm grey accents to bring out the blue-green depth.
