About this fabric
Part of the Modena collection by J Brown, this plain fabric is made from 100% polyester and is specified for contract use. It has a high 80,000 Martindale abrasion rating and is supplied back coated to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, with other treatments available on request. In this colourway, the prussian blue appears dark and inky at first glance, then shifts to cooler blue highlights as the pile or weave catches the light. The overall effect is smart and restrained, with a slightly worn, tonal depth that adds interest without reading as patterned. After care is professional dry clean in situ or washable at 40°C, subject to the pattern book guidance.
How to use it
Use this deep blue to ground a sofa, banquette or headboard, especially where you want a calm, tailored look. It pairs well with pale oak, brushed metal and crisp neutrals, which bring out the cooler blue notes in the surface.
