Mimosa Midnight Blue

Mimosa Fabric170

Mimosa Midnight Blue is a deep, inky blue plain with a softly mottled surface that gives the colour extra depth. The finish reads almost velvety in places, with subtle lighter flecks catching the pile-like texture.

About this fabric

This colourway of Mimosa has a very dark midnight-blue ground, leaning cool and almost navy-black in the shadows, with lighter blue highlights breaking across the surface. The plain design and visible crosswise texture give it a relaxed, slightly worn-in character rather than a flat solid look. Made from 100% polyester and rated to 40,000 Martindale, it is specified for heavy domestic use, making it well suited to everyday upholstery. It is supplied back coated to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, with other treatments available on request, and should be professionally dry cleaned in situ. The result is a practical, deep-toned fabric with enough visual movement to keep large upholstered pieces from feeling heavy.

How to use it

Use Midnight Blue on an armchair, banquette or sofa where its dark tone can anchor the room without looking stark. It pairs especially well with pale woods, brass details and soft grey or putty neutrals for a more tailored scheme.

A dark, versatile blue with a quietly textural finish that suits tailored upholstery schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
