Modena Denim
Modena Fabric15121
Modena Denim is a softly mottled plain in a cool denim blue, with a gently weathered surface that gives the colour extra depth. The finish reads relaxed and slightly stonewashed rather than bright or glossy.

About this fabric
This colourway shows a muted blue ground with greyed undertones and lighter flecks scattered through the pile, creating a lived-in denim effect across the surface. The plain design is part of J Brown’s Modena collection, which offers 92 colourways, and this shade keeps the look calm and versatile rather than saturated. Made from 100% polyester, it is specified for contract use and has a Martindale rating of 80,000, making it a robust choice for demanding interiors. It is supplied back coated to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, with other treatments available on request, and can be professionally dry cleaned in situ or washed at 40°C according to the pattern book.
How to use it
Use Modena Denim on sofas, banquettes or office seating where you want a cooler blue that feels smart but not severe. It pairs neatly with pale oak, chalk white and soft grey, and the mottled surface helps soften clean-lined contract furniture.
A cool denim blue that works well on tailored upholstery or relaxed contract seating.

Pairs well with
Modena Denim is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
