About this fabric

This plain from the Mimosa collection is woven in 100% polyester and specified for heavy domestic use, with a 40,000 Martindale rub test for practical durability. The swatch shows a muted mocha-taupe ground with darker, almost bark-like flecks and a brushed, lightly slubbed texture that gives the surface depth without a strong pattern. Its back-coated cigarette and match fire rating to BS5852 makes it suitable for more considered upholstery projects, while the overall finish stays understated and tailored. Professional dry clean in situ is recommended, with further care guidance available in the pattern book.

How to use it

Use this smoky neutral on sofas, loose covers or dining chairs where you want warmth without obvious colour. It layers easily with oak, charcoal and softened cream, and its understated depth stops neutral schemes feeling flat.

A versatile mocha ground that works beautifully on tailored seating and textured accent pieces.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
