Sonvida Midnight

Palma Collection FabricSONVIDA

Sonvida Midnight is a sharply patterned geometric fabric in a deep, inky blue and soft ivory contrast. The small diamond repeat gives the cloth a crisp, ordered look with plenty of visual movement.

About this fabric

Woven in Spain from 85% cotton and 15% linen, Sonvida Midnight is specified for severe contract upholstery and drapes, with a 45,000 rub test that supports demanding use. The 140cm width and 364gsm weight make it a substantial textile, while the 260gsm per square metre figure keeps the handle feeling balanced rather than overly heavy. Visually, the design reads as a small-scale lattice of ivory diamond motifs set against a midnight blue ground, creating a cool, tailored surface with a traditional character. The contrast is strong but not harsh, so the pattern stays clean and legible from near and far.

How to use it

Its dark blue ground works well on tailored seating, where the tiny repeat will give depth without overwhelming the room. Pair it with chalky whites, brass accents or walnut finishes to pick up the pattern’s crisp, formal feel.

Use with pale neutrals or warm timber to let the crisp diamond motif stand out.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Sonvida Midnight without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
