Coniston Velvet Soft Blue has a calm, blue-grey tone with a soft, finely shaded surface. The plain velvet catches the light gently across its nap, creating subtle depth without a visible motif.

About this fabric

Made from 100% polyester, this plain velvet is 137 cm wide and suitable for curtains, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. Its cool blue-grey colour reads as muted rather than bright, while the softly changing surface gives the cloth a quiet velvety dimension. A 50,000 Martindale rub test supports its use on fixed upholstery as well as decorative applications. Care instructions specify a cool machine wash minimum, professional dry cleaning, no tumble drying, no bleaching and cool ironing.

How to use it

Use this soft blue-grey on a tailored armchair, headboard or full-length curtain to bring a cool, composed note to a room. Pair it with chalky whites, pale timber and warm taupes to balance the velvet’s blue undertone.
