Coniston Velvet Emerald is a deep, saturated green velvet with a softly changing surface that shifts subtly as the light moves across the cloth. Its plain face keeps the focus on the richness of the emerald tone and the direction of the nap.

About this fabric

The close-up shows an intense emerald green with cooler, near-black shading in the nap and brighter green highlights where the pile catches the light. A fine, understated surface texture gives the plain velvet depth without introducing a printed motif. Made from 100% polyester, it is 137 cm (53.82") wide and suitable for curtains, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. Its 50,000 Martindale rub test makes it a particularly practical choice for hard-working upholstered seating, while the care instructions specify a cool machine wash minimum, professional dry cleaning, no tumble drying, no bleach and a cool iron.

How to use it

Use this deep emerald colourway to give a sofa, headboard or occasional chair a jewel-toned focal point against warm timber, cream or softly contrasting neutral finishes. Full-length curtains or a bedspread in the same velvet can extend the colour through a room while retaining its rich, light-catching depth.
