Grand Canyon Marble

Essential Colours II FabricBF10878.106

Grand Canyon Marble has a pale greige-taupe ground with a finely textured, repeating herringbone effect. Its softly blended neutral appearance is gently lifted by the directional weave, giving the surface subtle depth rather than a flat block of colour.

About this fabric

The small-scale chevron lines run in narrow vertical columns, creating a restrained woven pattern that remains understated across the fabric. Its 42% viscose, 33% linen, 21% cotton and 4% polyester composition gives this 140 cm (55") textile a natural-looking, lightly tactile character. A 6 cm (2.36") horizontal pattern repeat supports neat pattern planning for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. The fabric has a 30,000 Martindale rub test; care is professional dry cleaning only, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use the soft greige-taupe tone to upholster a tailored armchair, dining seat or headboard where its fine herringbone texture adds quiet definition. It can also bring a calm, lightly structured finish to full-length curtains or a coordinated bedspread in a warm neutral room.

A quietly tailored greige weave with enough durability for upholstery and a gentle linear rhythm for curtains or bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
