Essential Colours FabricBF10678.330
Drift Spice is a warm, burnt terracotta-orange weave with fine horizontal variation running through the surface. Pale threads and deeper russet flecks give this colourway a gently layered, tactile appearance.

About this fabric
The close-up shows a predominantly spice-orange ground with subtle red, coral and pale yarns interwoven in short horizontal slubs. Its softly irregular surface catches the light in fine broken lines rather than a printed motif, giving the plain design depth without making it formal. Composed of 50% cotton, 28% viscose, 18% linen and 4% polyester, the 137 cm fabric is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. A 40,000 Martindale rub test supports its use on frequently used upholstered pieces.
How to use it
Use Drift Spice to bring warm, earthy colour to a chair, sofa or bedspread, balancing its lively orange-red tone with chalky creams, natural linens and dark timber. As curtains, its fine woven variation can add colour without introducing a strong motif.
A warm, textured terracotta weave suited to relaxed upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.

Pairs well with
Drift Spice is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
