About this fabric

Tradewind Teal has a cool, deep teal ground broken by closely spaced vertical bands and tiny rectangular marks in ochre, rust, mustard and muted blue. The woven surface gives the stripes a tactile, slightly dry textile character rather than a flat printed appearance. Made from 75% cotton and 25% jute, it is 137 cm wide and carries a 25,000 Martindale rub test. Its 10 cm vertical and 12.4 cm horizontal pattern repeats, with listed uses including curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads.

How to use it

Use the deep teal as an anchoring shade on an upholstered chair, sofa or headboard, then pick up the rust and ochre details with cushions, painted furniture or warm timber. As curtains, its narrow vertical rhythm will bring pattern and colour without overwhelming a room.

A cool teal stripe with warm rust and ochre accents for tailored upholstery or curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
