Tetbury Velvet Ebony has a deep, near-black brown tone that gives the plain velvet a richly enveloping appearance. Its soft surface shows subtle changes in shade as the pile catches the light.

About this fabric

Woven from 92% cotton and 8% polyester, this 140 cm-wide velvet has a close, soft texture with a gently directional sheen rather than a visible motif. The Ebony colour reads as a cool, dense brown-black, while lighter areas across the swatch reveal the movement of the pile. With a 50,000 Martindale rub test, it is suitable for fixed and loose upholstery as well as curtains and bedspreads. After care is professional dry cleaning only; do not wash, bleach or iron.

How to use it

Use Ebony to upholster a statement armchair, sofa or headboard where its deep brown-black tone can anchor a room. It also brings a quietly dramatic finish to full-length curtains or coordinated bedspreads.
